vitamins for hair loss

Hair loss can be triggered by a myriad of reasons ranging from genetics, underlying medical conditions, medications to vitamin deficiency.

Therefore, if you are trying to recover lost hair, there are a couple of things that you can do in order to accelerate the process.

Hinging on the reason for your hair loss, there are a couple of vitamins that you can take which can stimulate fast hair growth.

Then again, it is important to point out that some vitamins may work wonders for you while others may fail to give results.

Listed below are the different types of vitamins that you can use to regrow lost hair:

Biotin

Biotin is also commonly referred to as the hair vitamin. Biotin, which is the vitamin B7 is an essential vitamin as it helps in the generation of fatty acids as well as regeneration of damaged cells.

Then again, there are several other benefits that vitamin B7 can provide your body with besides regrowth of lost hair. For instance, in addition to growing hair, biotin aids in strengthening the hair thereby preventing breakages.

Lack of vitamin B7 in the body can result in loss of eyelashes plus eyebrows.

Vitamin B12

Lack of vitamin B12 not only leads to hair loss, but premature graying of your hair. Therefore, if you would like to prevent hair loss and regenerate lost hair, it is important that you enrich your diet with vitamin B12.

Increased absorption of vitamin B12 in the body can be accelerated by taking vitamin C which is commonly found in citrus fruits like oranges and eating foods rich in iron, for example, liver.

Niacin

Niacin is also commonly referred to as vitamin B3 and functions in enhancing bloodcirculation within your scalp. However, in order to achieve good results, you need to blend vitamin B3 with vitamin B7 (biotin).

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an essential nutrient as it functions to strengthen your immune system. Enriching your diet with fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamin C will help in preventing brittle hair, premature graying and dry hair.

Vitamin C can be found in most fruits and as such there is no need to take health supplements. Oranges are good sources of vitamin C. Eating 2-3 oranges per day will enable you to get the right amount of vitamin C needed to regenerate lost hair.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is also a vital nutrient that you need to provide your body with in large quantities. Vitamin E is essential in regenerating damaged cells and growth of new blood vessels.

Since you are keen on improving the circulation on your scalp thus reversing the effects of hair loss, it is important that you include vitamin E in your diet.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D functions in accelerating the absorption of calcium in the body. Calcium is a mineral that functions in ensuring the health of hair follicles. As is the case with vitamin C and E, vitamin D can be derived by eating certain foods such as
fish.

Other minerals and vitamins that are essential for hair regrowth include Vitamin A, zinc and iron.

While most of the vitamins mentioned herein can be obtained from the foods that you consume, it is possible to miss out on certain vitamins, especially if you are the kind of person who doesn’t prepare home cooked meals quite often.

As such, you can still acquire the minerals and vitamins lacking in your food by buying health supplements. There are hundreds of online stores from which you can buy supplements from.

Along with vitamins there are a lot of different herbs for hair growth, they’re safe and easy to use.

Still, before purchasing health supplements, you need to consult your doctor since there are certain mineral and vitamin supplements that may contain components that are harmful to your health.
